Title- Data Warehouse Modeler

Location- Mclean, VA or Richmond, VA or Chicagoland, IL

Duration- 6 Months Contract to hire(Day 1 onsite Hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Logical and physical data modeling

The problem space is modernization of legacy systems so need someone who has done detailed work (bottom-up analysis of existing system designs and interfaces, reverse-engineering) and can think strategically (top-down design thinking)

Ability to work in gray space, helping to frame the problems and define options for solving

Sr. level - challenging business domain with complex systems and processes. Junior or intermediate modelers / designers may struggle in this role - 10-20 years experience. Experience on large, complex, team-based modeling.

Data Modeling and System Analysis position. Large scale multi-year system modernization effort; one of the dimensions of designing for this ecosystem is data and data structures. Two parallel efforts of data modeling going on; this role will focus on target / destination-state data modeling and design work. Skills - traditional logical and physical modeling and detailed analysis of requirements and of existing systems, ability to analyze and absorb a lot of information about legacy systems being replaced is critical. Lot of gray space here - tasked with defining a different future than what they have. Experience with forward-thinking design. Nice to have - modeling for APIs, streaming, Github, financial services / lending experience is a plus.
