  • Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies, research, tools, lessons learned, and best practices, applying them to NGA's mission environment.
  • Serve as an interface between stakeholders, users, data scientists, and engineering teams.
  • Engage directly with users to uncover underlying needs and validate analytical and product solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, program managers, engineers, and external partners to shape product vision and execution.
  • Work closely with software engineering and MLOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and mission-ready ML solutions.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, from concept and experimentation through deployment, evaluation, and sustainment.
  • Communicate and advocate product and analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Represent the NGA AI/ML Program at government and industry events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to support collaborative problem solving in a team-based environment.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; familiarity with Agile methodologies or certifications (e.g., Scrum Master).
  • Working knowledge of multiple programming languages and statistical packages, as well as data tooling used in AI/ML environments.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and applying analytical methods to drive product and mission decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to inform product strategy.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in or supporting AI-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and curiosity in AI, including continuous learning through research, coursework, workshops, or hands-on experimentation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Product Management, Project Management, Agile, or Data Science.
  • Experience leading or contributing to high-performing teams delivering IT or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Deeper familiarity with AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and current industry trends.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with data scientists, engineers, vendors, and military professionals.
