Under the direction of a Sr. Manager or Director, the Intern assists with developing, testing, and deploying Visualization / SCADA solutions that cater to Cencora's business requirements.
Assist with the development of displays and programming of SCADA clients / servers. Assist with creating and modifying documentation of new and existing infrastructure. Working with PLC Function Block and other programming techniques to assist the SCADA group in modifying process control systems in support of user group requests. Assist with creating and modifying documentation of the SCADA solution and training guides.
Keep the management updated with accurate project and task information. Participate in requirements, design, documentation, and evaluations. Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution. Must be a junior or a senior. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future
Understanding of SCADA concepts and functions is preferred. Experience with User Interface design and optimization is preferred. Knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC interfaces, and networking is a plus. Experience with HTML, SVG files, SQL, Java, or Python is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Good decision-making skills and customer service skills. Good organizational skills; attention to detail.
