Salary : Position Summary
The Database Developer will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You will also work with other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices. The candidate will develop MS-SQL queries, procedures, reports and work closely with the SQL Administrators.
The successful candidate will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems.
Responsibilities
- Development of high quality database solutions.
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using TransAct SQL.
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Research required data.
- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables in MS Excel.
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Prepares technical documentation.
- Provides work package estimates and manage delivery expectations.
- May interface directly with clients to clarify requirements or discuss alternative solutions.
- Design and develop automated processes, workflows, and schedules.
