Job Title: Geotechnical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-growing engineering firm based in Ft. Lauderdale. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of private sector projects—including commercial developments, residential buildings, high-rise structures, and industrial facilities—across South Florida. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, conducting field data analysis, and producing high-quality technical reports. You’ll collaborate closely with field technicians, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment, values autonomy, and is eager to contribute to a team that prioritizes communication, initiative, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Conduct field data analysis and produce high-quality technical reports.
- Collaborate closely with field technicians, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ensure project success through effective communication and coordination.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering and report writing.
- Experience with field data analysis.
- Strong client and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- EIT certification or progress towards it.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 2–10 years of experience in geotechnical, testing, inspection, or similar fields.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
- Ability to operate in a small business environment.
- Existing client relationships are beneficial.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in Ft. Lauderdale with flexible working hours (7am–4pm, 8am–5pm, or 9am–6pm). The work setting is primarily office-based with occasional site visits, covering project locations primarily in Broward and Dade counties, with some in West Palm Beach and beyond. The company does not provide a company truck.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coral Springs, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $52.88/hr.
