Job Requirements Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, including writing, executing, and troubleshooting database queries.
Familiarity with Oracle Database 19c or higher, including basic database architecture and administration.
Experience or demonstrated knowledge of routine database administration activities, including user management, permissions, storage monitoring, and database maintenance.
Basic understanding of database backup and recovery procedures.
Experience supporting Oracle databases hosted in AWS, particularly Amazon RDS for Oracle.
Familiarity with AWS GovCloud environments and cloud-based database administration.
Familiarity with database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic query optimization.
Basic understanding of database security principles, including access controls, user privileges, and auditing.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, document procedures, and work collaboratively with senior technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with high-availability configurations, backup and recovery procedures, and database patching and upgrades.
Familiarity with Oracle multitenant architecture, including container databases (CDBs) and pluggable databases (PDBs).
Experience with database performance tuning, SQL optimization, indexing, and execution plans.
Familiarity with AWS monitoring and management tools, including Amazon CloudWatch and RDS performance monitoring capabilities.
Experience with Oracle RMAN, database snapshots, and recovery procedures.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Basic scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with database schema changes, migrations, and application deployment support.
Understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including DISA STIGs, vulnerability management, and RMF compliance.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, or CI/CD pipelines.
Education, Experience, Certifications B.S. degree in an information system, computer system, engineering, or related STEM field. 2-3 years of direct, hands-on database administration experience, preferably in a production environment.
Security+ certification required Preferred Certifications Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate or Oracle Database Administration certification for Oracle 19c or higher.
AWS Cloud Practitioner Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional Security Clearance U.S.
Government Active TS/SCI clearance required Work location This position is on-site at customer facility on Patrick Space Force Base.
