Job descriptionHandle a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on workers' compensation laws and claim strategies. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and consultation. Attend settlement conferences, mediations, and negotiate resolutions on behalf of clients. Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations in California. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California. Experience in workers' compensation defense is preferred, but candidates with a strong interest in the field will also be considered. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong verbal communication and advocacy abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Client-focused approach with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
