Description :

The delivery driver is entrusted with the safe and efficient operation of a company delivery vehicle, with the objective of delivering an extensive array of equipment and supplies to customers along a designated route. Upon arrival at the customer's site, the delivery driver is responsible for carefully unloading the products, arranging them as necessary, and promptly removing any associated waste or packaging material.

Responsibilities :

• Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is ready for the road.
• Deliver and set in place restaurant equipment to local establishments.
• Assemble furniture.
• Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirming customer orders.
• Load and unload pallets with merchandise from box truck with use of a manual pallet jack.
• Ensure truck stock matches delivery requirements .
• Read and interpret maps and GPS directions.
• Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each shift.
• Collect signature and / or payments at delivery locales.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints.
• Other job related duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position working an 8 hour shift, five days weekly (Monday through Friday) with limited opportunities to work overtime.

Travel

This position requires traveling along a route to deliver equipment.
