Job Title : Dental Assistant
Location : Dental Care Center of South Kansas City
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care & Comfort : Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check-ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Assist with Procedures : Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well-prepared for each procedure.
- Instrument Sterilization & Safety : Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations.
- Lab Tasks & Post-Operative Care : Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post-operative care instructions.
- Record Maintenance : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures.
- Scheduling & Office Support : Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Regulated Tasks : Perform non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, if certified, and assist with other regulated tasks as allowed by local regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications :
In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols.
