Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management strategies.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, dietitians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Procedures: Perform and interpret point-of-care tests (e.g., glucose monitoring, A1C, thyroid ultrasound if trained), and adjust medications accordingly.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
Quality Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance endocrinology service delivery, patient safety, and overall quality of care.
Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients’ needs, ensuring they receive comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to their condition.

Licensure: Current state NP license and DEA registration. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with exposure to endocrinology, diabetes management, or internal medicine.
Specialization: Certification in diabetes education (CDE) or endocrinology-focused training is preferred but not required.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Compassion: A strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to manage complex endocrine conditions.
