Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 (BOE)

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of design experience, or an Associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience in product or tooling design within the plastics industry
  
• Proficiency in CAD software (both 2D and 3D modeling)
  
• Strong understanding of thermoforming processes and plastic materials
  
• Ability to develop complex geometry and create tooling models and drawings following industry standards
  
• Excellent project management and multitasking skills
  
• Knowledge of quality systems, controlled documentation, and industrial safety procedures
  
• Effective interpersonal, reasoning, and analytical skills, with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with thermoform plastics manufacturing
  
• Familiarity with automatic inline thermoforming and tooling equipment
  
• Knowledge of ISO standards and controlled documentation systems
  
• Experience with prototyping tools such as 3D printers and measurement devices
  
• Profciency working with office software like MS Word and Excel

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of design experience, or an associate degree supplemented by 7+ years of relevant experience
  
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead design efforts in a manufacturing environment

Other Requirements:

• This is an on-site position based at our facility
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, with light to medium physical activity
  
• Occasional travel (less than 5%) to customer sites, vendors, and trade shows
  
• Commitment to safety, ISO procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
