The customer is a nonprofit organization that is a smaller user base which means the support specialist role will be doing a variety tasks and will be responsible for taking escalated calls from the Tier 1. This could range from day to day technical support issues with users being unable to connect to the internet, their printer isn't working, specific issues related to the hardware or software applications of the organization. This person will also help with projects specifically around the Jira ticketing system. They currently using Jira but are not leveraging anything with the tool specifically how to create and generate reports to help create SLA, knowledge base documentation and helping to build out processes for the support desk which is not in place. This person will have the ability to bring ideas to the table on how to continue to improve and advance technology throughout the organization. This person will also be helping with asset management, as they are getting ready to roll out a large asset management project.

Performs diverse technical assistance, documents findings, and performs maintenance duties.

Troubleshoots and resolves complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts. For example, Office 365 applications, Windows operating systems, SharePoint.
Participates in and / or leads the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and / or network updates.
Participates in and / or leads research and development initiatives and aids in the implementation of new technologies.
Provides in-depth individual and / or group instruction and training to faculty, staff, and / or students on new or updated technologies.
May supervise or provide functional direction to lower graded staff and / or student employees performing the same or similar type of work.
Analyze and document current systems and procedures. Develop, document, and implement strategies, standards, and procedures.
