Position Overview :
Health Advocates Network is seeking a qualified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist to join our team to provide mental health services at multiple Department of Corrections (DOC) facilities across North Carolina. The successful candidate will conduct mental health assessments, individual therapy, and screenings for inmates, contributing to their rehabilitation and overall mental well-being. We are primarily looking for full-time candidates, but part-time applicants will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide individual therapy to inmates, addressing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
- Perform mental health screenings to evaluate risk factors, provide early intervention, and identify appropriate treatment pathways.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the DOC to ensure continuity of care and support.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with DOC guidelines.
- Comply with all DOC protocols, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the DOC or per the needs of the facility.
