DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are looking for a Clinical Educator with previous training / precepting experience as a registered nurse (RN) to ensure our clinical staff are well prepared to facilitate organ donation. This position will require routine travel to OPO locations and hospitals within our designated service areas (DSAs).

DCI Donor Services operates three organ procurement / tissue recovery organizations : New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include :
Ensures the consistent and uniform standards of practice are observed by the clinical staff.
Facilitates the clinical staff training program from new hire orientation to ongoing education, including areas such referral and donor management, allocation, and recovery.
Assists with employee evaluation of core clinical competency trainings and overall assessments.
Creates and maintains various forms of curriculum for staff on a variety of clinical topics and concepts.
Participates in field and desktop audits to identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate training needs.
Utilizes performance data and trending to identify training needs.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have :
2+ years prior experience as Organ Recovery Coordinator or related healthcare role
2+ years prior experience as a preceptor / trainer
OPO experience required
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement training curriculum
Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask
Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills
Registered Nursing (RN) License preferred
Valid Driver’s License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements
