Get to Know Your Team :
Responsibilities
Sets up and primes dialysis machines according to established protocols before each treatment session.
Evaluates vascular access pretreatment and performs vascular access cannulation.
Administers medications such as normal saline, heparin, and lidocaine per physicians orders under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse.
Monitors vital signs and provides emotional support during treatment.
Monitors patients’ vital signs, observes for any signs of complications, and adjusts dialysis machine settings as necessary under the direction of healthcare professionals.
Performs routine maintenance of dialysis machines, ensures proper functioning of equipment, and promptly reports any malfunctions or issues.
Adheres to infection control protocols, maintains a clean and organized dialysis unit, and follows safety procedures to minimize risks to patients and staff.
Records accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment parameters, and any interventions performed during dialysis sessions.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
At least one year of experience in dialysis setting.
Certification as a Dialysis Technician- CHT- Certified Hemodialysis Technician.
Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire
