Codeworks is an IT Services firm headquartered in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.
Who We’re Looking For :
Our client is seeking one (1) Asset Technician to join the Technology Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking physical assets at the college's hardware depot. This includes overseeing orders, inventory management, and assisting with hardware maintenance across campus locations.
Responsibilities :
Provide inventory management services for Technology Services assets throughout Madison College District.
Maintain an inventory management system for accurate tracking of all District technology assets.
Ensure a consistent supply of hardware, including repair / replacement parts, CPUs, printers, monitors, cables, docks, and other essential equipment.
Organize and maintain an orderly storage system for all technology services assets.
Oversee the removal of technology services assets from inventory.
Track and manage inbound shipments of technology services assets, assigning unique identification numbers to each item.
Create and affix identification tags and barcodes to all District assets.
Input asset information, including tracking numbers and relevant data, into the inventory management system.
Respond to incident tickets and hardware maintenance requests, facilitating the replacement of dysfunctional equipment.
Assist with the district-wide strategy for replacing outdated hardware and software across all campus locations.
Follow IT policies, standards, and legal regulations while monitoring technology assets.
Participate in the allocation, setup, and implementation of hardware, software, and ancillary devices.
Qualifications :
Two years of related work experience, including at least one year of asset management duties in a medium to large work environment (500–2000 workstations).
Demonstrated technical competence in a customer support environment, maintenance procedures, and system capabilities and limitations.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to multi-task and work independently in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, through phone, email, or in person.
Ability to identify stakeholders, perform root-cause analysis, and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and climb a 12-ft ladder while carrying or installing equipment.

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $15.00 and $20.00 This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
