Job description

Marketing & Product Line Intern

This role supports the Foodservice Marketing & Product Line Management team within RPSNA. The Marketing & Product Line Intern will support the execution of marketing initiatives, product line management tasks, and vendor coordination activities. This role is designed to increase the team's capacity by assisting with marketing content creation, market research competitive analysis, and organizational tasks that improve efficiency and accuracy across Foodservice projects. This role will interface with marketing, product line, commercial, product development, and Blue Clover.

The intern will lead a summer-long market analysis project focused on identifying strategic product line extension opportunities within the Foodservice category. This project includes evaluating overall market size and trends, reviewing material and product landscapes, assessing competitive offerings, and identifying whitespace opportunities. The intern will also research and recommend third-party suppliers within our network with the capabilities to support proposed new products. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive report and presentation outlining key insights and recommended product expansion paths.

In addition to their core summer project, the intern will provide daily support to the Product Line Management and Marketing teams across a variety of tasks. This includes assisting with market research, gathering competitive intelligence, updating marketing database and helping prepare materials such as sell sheets and PowerPoint slides. The intern will help analyze data, support project tracking, and participate in cross-functional meetings as needed. They will also pitch in on ad-hoc requests, ensuring the teams have the information, tools, and resources required to drive ongoing product and marketing initiatives.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Present findings to key stakeholders and make recommendations for targeting new markets, products, and customers
  • Assist with the creation of sales trainings and customer-facing presentations as needed
  • Refresh existing and develop new marketing content to support value proposition
  • Research, gather and collect competitor samples and information to build competitive analysis
  • Assembly and distribution of new product sample kits
  • Analyze market trends to develop marketing tools
  • Organize and clean-up marketing databases including sell sheets, catalogs, and photography

Product Line Management Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research related to potential "third-party" products and market opportunities with the goal of identifying fast-growing segments and new opportunities for Amcor products
  • Research competitive product offerings and trends
  • Organize vendor documentation (images, spec sheets, approvals)
  • Maintain product lists, spec sheets, and pricing documentation
  • Organize project timelines and update task trackers

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite
