Department Summary

Media Arts provides a liberal arts education that empowers students as creative media producers and critical consumers. We prepare students with the principles, skills, critical thinking, and opportunities to succeed in an ever-changing media environment.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI / MSIs and / or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or / and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Department of Media Arts seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

Minimum Qualifications

MA, MFA, or other terminal degrees in an accepted or accredited media-related field.
