Advertised Position Title : Instructor, Digital Marketing

Job Description :

Teaching faculty at Owens Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationship with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. The applicant will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. This position requires teaching undergraduates, and applicants must provide evidence of teaching potential specifically in the discipline of Digital Marketing

Knowledge :

An Owens Community College digital marketing professor should ideally possess a combination of a sound theoretical knowledge of marketing and practical experience in various aspects of digital marketing. Here are some key areas of expertise they should typically cover :

Digital Marketing Fundamentals :

  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts, strategies, and tactics.
  • Familiarity with the digital marketing ecosystem including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and influencer marketing.

Digital Advertising :

  • Knowledge of different advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.
  • Ability to teach students how to create and manage digital advertising campaigns effectively.
  • Analytics and Data Interpretation :

  • Proficiency in using tools like Google Analytics for tracking and analyzing website and campaign performance.
  • Understanding of key metrics and KPIs relevant to digital marketing campaigns.
  • Content Creation and Management :

  • Skills in content creation for different digital platforms (blogs, social media, websites).

    Minimum Requirements :

  • MBA with a concentration in Marketing or Digital Marketing or
  • Master's Degree in Marketing or Digital Marketing
  • Preferred Requirements :

  • MBA with 18 hours in Marketing or Digital Marketing or Master's Degree in Marketing or Digital Marketing plus three years’ experience in applied marketing, advertising, public relations or related field with at least two years teaching experience.
