Job Summary
Digital Content Producers play a key role in growing audience engagement across our digital platforms. This position blends creativity and journalistic judgment to deliver timely, relevant content through our website and social media channels. This is a full-time position , working Monday-Friday, Noon-9 p.m.
Essential Functions
- Create and curate daily digital content, including short stories, videos, photos, and visual elements for online platforms
- Report two to three stories per week , primarily focused on high-interest topics such as business and real estate
- Edit and recast stories and headlines to maximize appeal for digital audiences
- Rewrite and publish "quick-hit" news from press releases and verified social media sources
- Monitor local and regional media outlets to identify opportunities for original or follow-up coverage
- Collaborate with a team of producers to grow audience reach and optimize content for search and discovery
- Promote Post Bulletin content across social media platforms
- Help manage and update the website to ensure a timely, local-first reader experience
- Partner with the Post Bulletin newsroom and the broader FCC network on digital initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
Expected compensation for this role is between $19 and $21 / hour, based on qualifications and experience.
