Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a full time Medical Director . This individual provides oversight to the Medical Management Services Department ensuring safe quality medical and psychiatric practice(s). Establishes and maintains effective medical staff / services to meet the needs of the department and the agency. Engages in direct client service with a focus on research based, best practices and exceptional customer service.Provides clinical / psychiatric consultation to programs across the agency at large and is appropriately engaged with executive leadership and in the community with partners / stakeholders as needed. Recommends expansion, growth and program development opportunities involving new or existing services and markets. Monitors the evolving mental health delivery and reimbursement system (s) and makes needed changes and recommendations to positively position the organization in the market. Ensures all medical management services (including pharmacological and medication services) meet all accreditation and certification standards.
This position reports to the President & CEO and is a member of the senior leadership team.
Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements :
Physician licensed as a Doctor of Medicine in the State of Ohio. Must be board-certified (ABPN) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; have experience in managing clinicians / physicians, working in / with managed care and a background in quality improvement. DEA license required. Additional certifications preferred, such as current CPR.
Must possess minimum technical / computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications. Must have experience using and navigating an electronic medical record and performing telehealth services.
