Resource Innovations is seeking an Accounting Director of Revenue to join our growing team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated an Accounting Director of Revenue with a strong background in revenue recognition and project-based accounting to join our dynamic team. As an Accounting Director of Revenue , you will manage the revenue recognition and accounting processes associated with project-based contracts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic oversight for project accounting and financial reporting. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, legal, and senior management, to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition and reporting for complex projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition & Compliance :
- Oversee the accounting for revenue recognition in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ASC 606, IFRS 15) and ensure the company’s financial statements accurately reflect the performance of contracts and projects.
- Ensure proper classification of revenues, unbilled receivables, and deferred revenues for each project.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis :
- Prepare and review detailed financial reports on project revenues, profitability, and costs to ensure accurate financial performance tracking.
- Project Accounting Oversight :
- Oversee the work of the project accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all project-related accounting tasks.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue-related inquiries from other departments, including operations, legal, and sales teams.
- Internal Controls & Audit Support :
- Establish and maintain internal controls over revenue recognition processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors to support annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting regulations and best practices.
- Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue recognition processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Team Leadership & Development :
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the project accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and ensure the ongoing professional development of team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
