Job Title : Director of Operations

Company : GMS (Annapolis, MD-based HVAC and Mechanical Services Provider)
Position Overview :
GMS is seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to oversee all facets of our operations, including projects, service, estimating, purchasing, safety, and inventory management. This leadership role carries full P&L responsibility and requires a proven track record in the commercial Mechanical / HVAC service and contracting industry. Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Operations will collaborate closely with the Crete VP of Operations and the GMS senior leadership team to drive operational excellence, profitability, and growth. A key focus of this role is the training and development of our leadership team. With the goal of preparing these individuals to take on greater responsibility as the business scales, including leading future GMS geographic expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning and Financial Management
- Develop and Execute Plans : Create and implement strategic plans to achieve budget and growth objectives.
- P&L Accountability : Oversee financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
- Monthly Reviews : Lead monthly financial and operational performance reviews with senior leadership.
