Director of Development K-8 Education Washington, D.C. Salary up to $125,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience

Terrific Director of Development position with a Catholic education institution in the Washington, D.C. area providing K-8 education in underserved communities. The Director of Development will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies inline with the organization's strategic plan. The position will manage the full lifecycle of fundraising from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing gifts from various funding sources including writing and submitting grant proposals. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of relevant experience, time with a Catholic or independent school is a plus. Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is a plus. The salary range is up to $125,000, with potential flexibility based on experience. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and operates fully in office.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies
• Collaborate with the President and Board on fundraising efforts and an annual development plan
• Provide the full moves management of donors and prospects including prospect research
• Secure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Write and submit grant proposals, provide follow up reporting
• Convey the organization's mission of providing Catholic urban education to donors
