Assistant Director of Nursing Services – Staff Development

Position Summary :
The Staff Development ADNS plans, directs, coordinates, and provides orientation, in-services and educational activities for staff. Assists the Health Center Director of Nursing Services in directing the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care and nursing services to residents, functions as Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
What you will do in this role :
- Plan, organize, implement / coordinate, and evaluate the orientation program for all new employees.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify the educational needs of the staff.
- Plan, organize, implement / coordinate and evaluate in-service and continuing education programs (including Annual Update).
- Establish and maintain certification as a BLS instructor.
- Ensure regulatory requirements for staff development are met.
- Assist and collaborate with all staff (and all departments) to provide educational programs and experiences.
- Organize and assist individual employees with the development of learning opportunities for professional growth.
- Maintain documentation of attendance and educational programs for employees.
- Evaluate educational programs, participating in quality assurance activities.
- Consult with nurse managers on effective ways of meeting training needs and utilizing educational offerings and sharing resources
- Participates in On-Call Rotation alongside other Nursing Leadership.
