MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education : MA / MS degree in education-related discipline; valid Oklahoma
teaching and principal credential
Experience : Minimum 5 years as a classroom teacher; minimum 2 years as a building principal
Skills : Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
SUMMARY : Serves as the primary support for sites with escalated instructional concerns. Works under the direction of the Executive Director of School Leadership to provide select principal coaching and places a strong emphasis on assistant principal development and emerging leader growth, strengthening leadership capacity across the district.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : These statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to the position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
- Supports K-12 sites as the first point of contact when escalated situations related to instruction or administration arise. Offers guidance, delivers on-site assistance, or provides other help as needed.
- Provides coaching and supervision for some principals as determined by the Executive Director of School Leadership. Includes setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and guidance aligned to district leadership expectations and school improvement priorities.
- Supports the development of assistant principals through targeted coaching, mentoring, and leadership development aligned to district leadership expectations and competencies.
- Collaborates with the Security and Student Services department to support assistant principal capacity for managing student behavior needs.
- Works with the Executive Director of School Leadership to plan and facilitate the Aspiring Leaders program with the goal of developing a strong pipeline for school leadership.
- Steps in to support schools during leadership transitions or absences, offering short-term leadership presence, problem-solving, and coordination to help schools remain stable and focused during times of change.
- Engages as a key contributor in strategic planning for school leader development, ensuring leadership learning opportunities are informed by site-level realities and district priorities.
- Demonstrates flexibility and professional judgment by responding to evolving district and site needs, including assuming additional responsibilities and addressing emerging challenges as assigned by the Executive Director of School Leadership.

ATTENDANCE STATEMENT :
Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.

Primarily inside working conditions with limited environmental exposure.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at a desk or in meetings for long periods; travel to school sites; and using keyboarding skills, work on a computer for long periods.
