Hands on role responsible for leading a team of talented design engineers to develop a wide variety of medical device projects while facilitating the improvement of manufacturing. This is a key role in our management team for product design, cross collaboration and strategy development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : -Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.-Leads the coordination of multiple projects, creating timelines, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, and timelines.-Provides strategic direction and leadership for engineering team on achieving individual, department, and organizational goals.-Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.-Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.-Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.-Monitors projects and maintains a close liaison with Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing personnel to implement approved development and improvement projects.-Complies with all applicable cGMP, ISO, OSHA, FDA regulations.-Supports continuous improvement activities. QUALIFICATIONS : -Displays a high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations.-Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.-Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations.-Must have excellent presentation and verbal / written communication skills.-Strong interpersonal skills required to lead a team and work cross-functionally across the company. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE : -Director LevelBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.7 plus years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of management leading engineering teams Medical Device Manufacturing Experience (spinal Products Highly Preferred)-Manager Level : Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.5 years + with 3 years of management experience
