Job description

Receiving Supervisor

Location : Beverly, MA

Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM

Compensation :   $28-30 / hr

Summary :

This position will be responsible for supporting the following functional areas :

Establishes warehouse / stockroom operational infrastructure. Maintains warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing effective operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Meets warehouse / stockroom operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse process and system improvements.

Provides direct supervision of the assigned teams through ongoing leadership and guidance.

Safeguards warehouse / stockroom operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety procedures and protocols.

Controls inventory accuracy by assuring compliance to SOPs, conducting cycle counts, reconciling variances with WMS records, and taking corrective actions to improve accuracy.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new ideas.

Ensures the optimal utilization of space through warehouse / stockroom consolidation.

Ensures the rotation of product as appropriate.

Ensures timely and accurate completion of all necessary records and reports.

Hiring, training, coaching, counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations.

Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct Manager.

May be required to assist with warehouse / stockroom functions which include but not limited to shipping, packing, loading, unloading, and sorting.

Other duties as assigned.

Direct Reports :

Hours of Work :   Full time– first shift, with overtime requirements to support mission requirements.

Demonstrated Experience Required :

Three or more years of warehouse supervisory experience

Experience using ERP Systems

Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experience with kitting, manufacturing work orders and stockroom material flow

Knowledge of Materials-related Paperwork, including BOL, Packing Slip, Invoice, Pick List, Manufacturing Order

Experience with Inventory control : SOP adherence, error checking, cycle counting, physical inventories, reporting.

Experience working with Logistics providers : UPS, FedEx, trucking companies, 3PL / 4PL providers.

Experience managing teams of 10 or more warehouse associates.

Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids and training materials.

Skills Required :

Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to change priorities in a timely fashion

Flexibility to work overtime as required - Availability to work Saturdays with the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements : ability to lift packages or over-sized materials up to 50lbs and move products using MHE.

Ability to work while standing (approximately 70 % of the time) and sitting.

Sets up production kits, verify part numbers, and quantities to BOM, subs, equipment & fixtures as required.

Participate in physical inventories (required).

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects issues in the warehouse / stockroom.
