Position Summary :
The Director, who is a member of the financial management team, will collaborate on organizational business issues, communicate appropriate financial messages, and support and drive corporate initiatives. Working closely with the Regional Vice President of Finance and the Community Network leadership team, the Director monitor appropriate satisfaction measures, implements process and service improvements and manage all accounting processes providing data and guidance.
Key Accountabilities :
- Prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end close, and ensure a clean and timely year-end audit. Prepare and report out to senior leaders and local leadership the financial analysis, forecasts and budgets
- Analyze business performance and take steps to improve performance in alignment with the organization’s goals. Monitors budget against actual expenditures, consults with appropriate individuals regarding significant discrepancies making appropriate recommendations as needed. Identifies problems quickly and offers ideas for resolution in a timely manner
- Work with system level financial colleagues to implement budget processes, budget software, financial reporting, and other processes that follow corporate standards (including capital)
- Provide leadership and direction to department staff, developing and communicating clear performance expectations, monitoring work, and challenging individuals to achieve their potential
- Performs financial analysis on new initiatives
- Understands the implications of the reimbursement methodologies and volumes on business results and provides appropriate business advice. Works with the financial services teams to field questions and escalate issues related to billing. Monitors and reviews aging of accounts receivables
