We have operations in Saint Louis, Missouri, Milford, Connecticut and Huntington Beach, California, serving local, national and international customers, both military and commercial. The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to our customers.

Position Summary :

We are currently looking for an IT Intern to work with our IT department to provide the candidate with meaningful, real-world experiences. This role is part of our summer internship program and includes installing, modifying, and making repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems and provides technical assistance and training to system users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Inspects personal computer equipment and reads order sheet listing user requirements to prepare computer for delivery.
• Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, and printers on user's premises.
• Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer.
• Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation.
• Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
• Instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals.
• Recommends or performs actions to correct problems.
• Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, and / or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
• Replaces defective or inadequate software packages.
• Replaces defective hardware within computer to include complete boards and board components.
• Create and run network cables to necessary length.
• Maintain and manage hardware inventory.

Requirements :

Enrolled in and working towards a technical college education or working towards a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
