Purpose :
As our Director of Psychiatric Operations, under the supervision of the Executive Vice President of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Operations, provides the necessary vision and leadership to ensure the medical standard of care. The Director of Psychiatric Operations implements Clinica Family Health and Wellness' (CFHW) strategic goals as outlined by executive team, organizational values, evidence-based practice approaches, and procedures, and other activities to support safe and appropriate psychiatric care throughout the organization at all locations.
Job Summary :
You will provide medical leadership and oversight at all locations of CFHW through management, administrative supervision (APPs and MD / DOs), and clinical supervision (MD / DOs) of medical staff. To direct programming and management of medical staff procedures, collaborative work and relationships with leadership teams and external partners to facilitate integrated mental health and substance use disorder care. This position will also carry a caseload of patients. Supervision of medical staff dependent upon degree.
You Will :
- Continually assess and oversee programs consistent with evidenced based medicine.
- Ensure programs are responsive to medical and contractual requirements and congruent with CPHW's emphasis on high quality patient service and outcomes.
- In collaboration with other leadership staff, continually monitor and ensure the needs of diverse patients are met across the continuum of care.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Leadership Team and actively participates in strategic planning for CFHW's future direction.
- Ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place and consistently applied to support continuity of care, cultural competence, high quality outcomes, and efficient use of resources based on a recovery model.
- Collaborate and form partnerships internally at CFHW and externally with community agencies.
- Effectively communicate and work with staff at all levels of the organization to promote and enhance employee engagement and feedback
- Participate in various committees at CFHW to bring medical and program expertise to decision making bodies.
- Develop and monitor budget(s) and continually assess opportunities for improved financial performance
- Oversee the delivery of psychiatric care in all locations and departments in the agency (MD / DO only)
- Lead medical integration across all teams at the agency.
- Lead patient safety projects to bring the agency to medical standards.
- Address critical incidents and treatment case reviews and leads efforts to reform systems to improve patient safety and outcomes (MD / DO only).
- Facilitate collaboration between healthcare and administrative areas.
- Monitor operational goals and performance indicators for team performance.
- Meet defined personal and department goals and activity metrics.
- Support and demonstrate CFHW's mission, vision and values through both behavior and job performance.
- Follow policies, procedures, Compliance Plan, and Standards of Conduct daily.
- Hold a caseload of patients
