Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience implementing Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Master’s degree in Engineering or Business. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, particularly HVAC. LEAN / Six Sigma certification.
Job Summary :
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the engineering team to optimize manufacturing operations, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency. This role involves managing projects from concept to production, driving improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and strategies for operational success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement best practices in manufacturing, including fabrication, welding, and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with design teams on product manufacturability (DFM).
- Lead projects for equipment acquisition and plant expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of manufacturing routings for standard costs.
- Support problem-solving efforts through root cause analysis.
- Optimize equipment availability through Total Productive Maintenance.
- Enhance facility layout, process flow, and line balancing for efficiency.
- Coordinate new product introductions, ensuring tooling and documentation are in place.
- Provide technical recommendations on materials, processes, and equipment.
- Assist in identifying and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives.
