Woodcliff Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Catering to lead our dynamic catering and events team. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue through the successful sales and execution of weddings, social events, and corporate catering functions. The ideal candidate is results-driven, client-focused, and thrives in a high-touch, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage the catering sales team, including sales managers and event coordinators
- Drive catering revenue through proactive solicitation, relationship management, and upselling opportunities
- Oversee the full event lifecycle from inquiry and proposal through contract, planning, and on-site execution
- Collaborate with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Develop and implement annual catering sales strategies and monthly pacing goals
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate, social, and wedding clients, acting as a strategic partner in event planning
- Monitor catering profitability and partner with F&B leadership to ensure cost control and revenue maximization
- Stay current with local event trends, competitive offerings, and industry best practices
- Represent the hotel at networking events, bridal shows, and client-facing functions as needed
