Job Title : Associate Director of Sales

Job Description
The Associate Director of Sales (ADOS) will report directly to the Director of Sales (DOS) and will be responsible for soliciting and developing group account leads for The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center.
The ADOS will actively solicit new business to meet and / or exceed established goals for the hotel as designated by the DOS. Candidate will handle key accounts for the hotel, identify emerging markets, capturing a higher percentage of current market share and stay up to date on new products / competition in the market. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive, professional attitude and appearance and will assist the DOS through active participation in sales strategies, development of marketing campaigns. The ADOS will supervise 3 Catering Managers and 1 Sales Manager. They will actively train, mentor and assist in their growth and overall productivity as well as identify areas of opportunities for improvement and assist in their development.
The ADOS represents the property with prospective clients, conducting property tours and consulting with clients regarding detailed arrangements; responds to leads in an efficient and expeditious manner; communicates effectively and confidently with external and internal clients in a friendly, positive manner; meets / exceeds client needs and assists in resolving client concerns, and handle challenging situations. Fosters teamwork, adheres to the hotels policies, procedures and standards. Must have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines; work well under pressure, is flexible and organized with attention to detail.
The ADOS will be self-motivated, possesses excellent communication and time management skills, ensuring business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery in accordance with hotel standards and manages accounts to achieve the highest guest satisfaction.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The Blackwell Inn is a 24 / 7 operation, and as such, this position will operate with a flexible schedule, including ability for a remote day, and will require some evening and weekend hours. Anticipate a minimum 45-hour work week.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
At least five years of proven group sales experience in a hotel and / or conference center environment; at least three years’ experience in customer service environment; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficient with social media, will spearhead hotels presence and implementation .
Additional Information :
The pay range for this position is $58,700 - $77,200 (min - mid). The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's education and experience.
This position also qualifies for a 30% incentive bonus.
