Join us as a Manager, Software Engineering and help us do what we do best : propelling business forward. This will be a hybrid so working between your home office and 2-3 days a week in our Burlington MA headquarters.
We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Software Engineering Manager for our ADP business unit and specifically our OpenEdge product. If you yearn to be innovative, contribute new ideas, and play a critical part in our engineering organization, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will :
As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll take on a critical role of turning business needs into technology solutions, specifically for our OpenEdge organization. By working closely with other software engineers, support, product managers, UI / UX designers, and key stakeholders, you'll help deliver the best experiences for our users. You'll actively contribute to the success of the team by innovating, participating in technical discussions, and contributing to the development of products that will transform the organization. Key responsibilities include the following :
- Ensure consistent technical direction
- Define work process, refining agile process to work best for the team
- Gain visibility and recognition across the organization for technical competence and guidance
- Lead cross-team engineering initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineering managers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within your organization.
- Initiate and manage partnerships in other parts of the organization
- Lead and influence the architectural design of complex systems
- Contribute to the integration of software components into a fully functional software system
- Work closely with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to align technical initiatives with business goals and customer requirements.
- Oversee the execution of multiple complex engineering projects across teams. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software that meets customer needs and business objectives.
- Drive initiatives to improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. Implement best practices in software development and operations (DevOps) across your organization.
- Drive AI and LLM integration strategies to modernize the OpenEdge platform and deliver enhanced value to customers
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the technical vision and strategy for your area of responsibility.
- Define and track key business metrics for your teams. Use data-driven insights to optimize team performance and drive continuous improvement
- Provide support and mentorship to the engineering team
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on the development of products
- Contribute to standards, procedures and process
