Position Summary :
With a focus on cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders, the Director of Special Events will lead the planning and execution of CHC’s fundraising events, including our signature annual gala and other events throughout the year. This dynamic role blends creative vision with project management expertise and requires a strategic thinker who can use events as a platform to advance CHC’s fundraising goals and deepen donor engagement. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this full-time role is based in our NYC office, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in-office per week.
Key Responsibilities :
Event Planning and Execution :
- Plan, manage, and execute CHC’s fundraising and community events, including the annual gala, donor cultivation events, and online giving campaigns.
- Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize event themes and ensure feasibility and alignment with CHC’s mission.
- Lead event setup, breakdown, registration, and vendor coordination.
- Use event management software to track donations and create online registration and auction sites.
- Oversee on-site and virtual event logistics, ensuring seamless and impactful experiences for all stakeholders.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement and prepare reports on event performance, including financial results and attendance metrics.
