We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Consulting Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in the healthcare industry. This unique opportunity will allow you to apply your specialized skills in early childhood development to help shape the future of children with special needs. This role will involve working closely with healthcare professionals, families, and children to develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, particularly in early childhood, and a proven track record of creating effective strategies for children with diverse needs.
Responsibilities :
1. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for children with special needs.
2. Provide consultation and coaching to families and professionals on best practices for supporting the educational needs of children with disabilities.
3. Monitor and evaluate the progress of children, making necessary adjustments to their IEPs as needed.
4. Advocate for the educational rights and needs of children with special needs within the healthcare system.
5. Provide training and education to healthcare staff on the unique learning needs of children with disabilities.
6. Conduct assessments to identify children's educational needs and develop appropriate strategies to address them.
7. Stay updated on the latest research and trends in special education and early childhood development.
8. Facilitate the transition of children with special needs from healthcare settings to educational settings.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in special education, with a focus on early childhood.
3. Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
4. Extensive knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex educational challenges.
7. Proven ability to develop and implement effective IEPs for children with diverse needs.
8. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
9. Proficiency in using technology to support children's learning and track their progress.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of special education and early childhood.
11. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
