This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that sustainability initiatives are integrated into all aspects of the business.

The Director will be responsible for driving sustainability goals, managing sustainability reporting including Aon's annual Impact Report, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will report into the Head of Strategic Finance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support and execute our sustainability strategy in alignment with our goals.

  • Support client requests and respond to RFPs related to corporate sustainability
  • Manage sustainability reporting and ensure compliance with related regulations and frameworks
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Engage with team members, including colleagues, clients, and suppliers, to support Aon's and stakeholder's broader sustainability goals
  • Develop clear and compelling materials for the ESG Steering Committee and other executive meetings, and participating in and / or lead internal working groups
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and deliver useful insights to support strategic planning for environmental, social & governance initiatives

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) global landscape
  • Experience in GHG emissions reporting and ESG / sustainability reporting required
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insights to drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with different teams; comfortable with engaging directly with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates good judgement, enabling the ability to work independently and be proactive in a dynamic environment
  • Experience balancing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and accountability to high standards of excellence
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • How we support our colleagues

In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Plus, our agile, inclusive environment allows you to manage your wellbeing and work / life balance, ensuring you can be your best self at Aon. Furthermore, all colleagues enjoy two "Global Wellbeing Days" each year, encouraging you to take time to focus on yourself.
