What You'll Do

As a CVT Solution Qualification Engineer, you will collaborate with dedicated, dynamic, passionate, and complementary team members to work on the qualification and automation of influential technologies, XR platforms, and solutions for deployment in high-end Cisco Web and Service Provider customers, impacting an endless number of users worldwide.

You will be responsible for designing, automating, configuring, and qualifying customer use cases based on IOS-XR for ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, and 8000 platforms. This includes generating test plans and dynamically prioritizing tasks based on customer demands, maximising the right technical expertise and skills in each area. You will design and develop innovative test frameworks and tools to support the test execution environment, as well as develop web-based GUIs that use analytics and machine learning to thoughtfully display and analyze execution results. Your role involves driving test cases both manually and through automation, raising, tracking, prioritizing, and verifying defects and fixes. You will proactively seek continuous improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation, optimizing performance and configuration dimensioning. Additionally, you will reproduce customer issues in internal test labs as requested by the customer support team, generate test execution reports and technical whitepapers, and collaborate with teams across multiple continents.

In addition to working with a team of seasoned Networking professionals on day-to-day basis, you will also get to socialize with other groups, such as Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Advanced Services and Customer Team.

Who You Are

You have passion to qualify and automate SP, web networking solutions and use cases to ensure smooth deployment by these customers. You have experience qualifying, deploying, troubleshooting, and / or maintaining SP / web networking technologies and especially XR platforms. Network design and / or deployment experience is desired.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 8 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree in Computer Science with 6 years of professional experience
• Experience in Networking Automation and Software Quality Assurance, protocol testing, and supporting Web / Service-provider customers
• Experience in Routing hardware / platforms / forwarding architecture and networking technologies
• Expertise using Python or GoLang
