The Manager, Global Distribution is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the procedures and operations for the assigned departments within the Distribution Center.
Manages team members including Supervisor, Team Leads, Lead Clerks, Clerks, and temporary personnel.
Manages directly and / or through subordinates all activities associated with providing customer order service from order through delivery.
Responsible for recommending annual objectives and profit plan.
Responsible for planning inventory levels on a product-by-product basis that ensures proper customer service levels while optimizing economical transportation methods.
Makes recommendations and, as appropriate, implements improvements in policies and procedures for handling, packaging, and warehousing, and keeps abreast of new equipment and technological developments in areas associated with operations being directed.
Assures that necessary maintenance is performed on the warehouse, storage equipment, material handling equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment associated with the operations.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with key personnel and communicates with internal and external clients as needed.
Administers company safety program and takes timely corrective action to prevent injury and destruction of company property.
Ensures timely and efficient performance regarding ordering, receipt, and storage of shipping supplies and finished goods.
Enforces policies and procedures that ensure absolute control of released-unreleased finished goods at all times.
Responsible for accountability, receipt, storage, and physical distribution of finished goods shipped.
Assists other teams in completing special projects or time-sensitive tasks as needed.
Performs all other functions as required.

Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports.
Strong computer skills required; Working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management system preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required.
Must be able to prioritize work.
Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his / her job duties.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
Must be able to work accurately and safely under pressure.
Overtime and weekend hours may be required.
Travel domestic.
Compensation
Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. Salary Ranges : $70,000.00 - $125,000.00.
