Job Overview :
The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for managing the storage, organization, and transportation of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods within the warehouse. This includes safely driving and operating forklifts, handling shipments, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator follows safety protocols, inventory procedures, and ensures compliance with shipping regulations, including DOT, DHS, TSCA, and CT-PAT. They also participate in various safety and health initiatives to support a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities :
Pull finished goods from storage areas
- Put away raw materials in storage areas
- Safely drive and operate a forklift
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Understand and follow pick lists and BOL's
- Operates pumps for off-loading tankers
- Perform set-up and clean up for tasks
- Actively participates in safety programs, 5S, and perform daily checklists
- Follows operating procedures for proper inventory, handling, and staging of
material.
