Job Description
- Recruitment Range : $47,500 - $50,000 Annually
Please Note : This is an in-office, not remote, position.
The Bill Processing office is located within the North Carolina General Assembly's Legislative Drafting Division and provides nonpartisan services to both chambers of the General Assembly. The position of Legislative Document Specialist focuses heavily on proofreading legislative documents. For this position, the Bill Processing office is seeking an individual with a strong command of the written English language, an eye for detail, and an ability to learn and follow established legislative drafting guidelines. Legislative Document Specialists work in a team-based environment to review, proofread, and edit material related to the processing of legislative documents, such as bill drafts or proposed committee substitutes. The highest degree of confidentiality is required. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and able to work accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
