Job Description
Perform all the duties required to receive, process, store, issue, ship, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials and equipment flowing through the LM SWF Warehouses, the Small Ordnance Magazines (SOMs), and designated Missile Motor Magazines (MMMs). Certify shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, flight hardware, and support equipment for off-base destinations.
Certify shipments of hazardous materials, flight hardware, and support equipment for off-base destinations, including shipments of explosive ordnance, complying in strict detail to applicable federal, military and state regulations governing packaging and transportation of such items.
Receive, ship, store, package, issue, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials associated with the supported FBM program.
Prepare reusable Packaging Data Sheet (PDS) containers for use or shipment. Perform functional adequacy inspections.
Pickup and deliver materials as required and package items for shipment, storage or transfer.
Stock, kit and issue material and process-controlled inventory receipts, issues and associated paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Perform material location maintenance, scheduled inventories, and location changes as necessary.
Package and unpackage major missile segments, such as Equipment Sections, Nose Fairings, and Interstage Assemblies and perform other (or associated) handling, as necessary.
Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced employees in the performance of duties described.
Perform routine warehouse functions such as checking nomenclature, quantity and other descriptive information for accuracy and agreement with related paperwork. Stamp, mark, count, sort, shelve and stock items in accordance with procedures.
Ability to perform duties in support of the Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) as necessary.
Perform review and closure of data systems updates for stocking, kitting and issuing material and process-controlled inventory receipts, issues and associated paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Desired skills
Prior warehousing experience
Perform inventory management of stocking / issuing of materials and equipment.
Ability to perform database operations : data entry, researching material and printing labels.
Proficient with Microsoft Office-Word and Excel.
Able to work effectively in a team environment
Able to lift up up to 45 lbs
Ability to operate a box truck with gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 lbs. (non-CDL)
