Salary : $15.75 - $17.00 per hour DOE

Longs Peak Animal Hospital is seeking Full-Time Boarding and Daycare Attendants. We are looking for outgoing animal-lovers with exceptional communication skills to join our Boarding & Daycare team! This position is a great entry-level position for those looking to further their education on animal care and behavior.

We are looking for a long-term employment commitment. This position requires a practical knowledge of dog behavior as well as animal handling skills.

Our Boarding & Daycare Attendants are responsible for the constant cleanliness of kennels, runs, and ward areas of the hospital, as well as the proper feeding and care of all Boarding & Daycare animals. They also supervise play groups of dogs for a safe and enjoyable experience for dogs and staff alike.

Our Boarding & Daycare department is open 7 days / week, rotating opening / closing shifts, weekends and holidays are required. Open availability with no restrictions preferred.

What are we looking for?

  • patient people who are comfortable around large numbers of dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds
  • people who are comfortable with a noisy work environment and cleaning pet messes
  • problem solvers who can think on their feet
  • people who can accurately follow detailed directions and multitask
  • people who can work for long periods on their feet while regularly kneeling, crouching, bending and lifting 20-50 lbs.
  • 18 years and older with diploma or GED
