Dog sitting Jobs in Washington, DC

We are looking for a highly experienced manager who can assist the owner

in the brand new startup and long-term operation of a 60-80 dog day-only

facility in Waldorf, MD.

The right person will have deep experience as a manager of people and a

dog care professional with a solid understanding of all facets of this

business. Should have an eye for planning and design of a new facility, and

the ability to work with others to manage this concept through execution.

Flexibility, drive, a love of and compatibility with animals, and a savvy for

social media / point-of-sale / accounting software are all essentials.

Compensation : $65,000 Salary

plus commission

Location : Waldorf, MD

Schedule : TBD

Responsibilities :

Managing staff : Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, and career

advancement

Maintaining cleanliness : Clean and sanitize play areas, cages,

and equipment

Providing customer service : Handle customer service inquiries,

complaints, and bookings

Ensuring safety : Ensure that all pets receive proper care and are

safe

Monitoring health : Monitor dogs for any health issues and

administer medication as needed

Ensuring compliance : Ensure compliance with safety and health

law and regulations

Managing operations : Open and close the facility, manage

productivity, and ensure compliance with guidelines and

Procedures

Requires :

Love pets and demonstrate comfort and confidence in their

handling

Have demonstrable experience and results in managing others

Have a solid understanding of point-of-sale software

Have proficiency in website / social media and accounting / payroll

experience is essential. Knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel

preferred

Regard safety and security as the absolute highest priority

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly and 40 pounds occasionally

Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.
