Architecture and Engineering Manager (Merit Medical Systems, Inc., South Jordan, UT)

Lead and monitor the multidisciplinary project team assigned to remediation and other Engineering, project(s) for product portfolio. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and resources. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of project and program management principles for medical device projects. Manage a portfolio of projects through the support of various project leads and assist and develop delivery schedule improvement opportunities. Develop a detailed project / program plan to monitor and track progress. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and resources. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of project & program management principles. Perform periodic project status review with engineering project teams and leadership team. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to facilitate decision making with the project management team under tight deadlines. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and resources. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Domestic and international travel required 10-30% of the time. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to 1600 W Merit Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095. Salary : $151,299 - $160,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as Project Manager, Project Lead, or any occupation / position / job title involving managing or leading engineering projects.

Must also have experience in the following : 5 years of professional experience using engineering problem solving skills to effectively analyze problems and implement solutions; 5 years of professional experience utilizing GMPs (good manufacturing practices) and Medical Device Regulations; 5 years of professional experience leading engineering projects and using project management tools (including Excel, MS Project, MS Teams, or Monday.com); 5 years of professional experience utilizing spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and software programs (including SolidWorks, MS Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint, Teams, Outlook, and MS Project Plan); and 5 years of professional experience working on R&D projects, Engineering changes to design and processes, and Regulatory changes.
