Description
As the Violence Prevention Manager is responsible for providing oversight and leadership in developing and implementing violence prevention programming to the community using a public health approach. The role includes community mobilization, implementing violence prevention curriculum, providing support with internal and external training for our strategic partners in the community.
Your Schedule :Our Total Compensation Package :
- Annual Compensation : $65K
- Pay schedule semi-monthly

- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
- A minimum of three years of experience in providing educational services and program development in a social service setting.
- A minimum of three years of experience in developing and managing a team.
- Knowledge of health equity and economic empowerment as it relates to primary prevention.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
- Computer savvy and able to learn new applications and systems quickly.
- Strong presentation skills.
- You must have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation.
- You will ensure programs utilize public health model focused on interpersonal violence including teen dating violence, sexual assault, domestic violence and intimate partner violence.
- You will supervise, train, and mentor program staff.
- You will support training efforts to strategic partners.
- You will identify, develop and maintain key partnerships with organizations and agencies, and assist with training efforts to strategic partners.
- You will provide prevention including awareness to educate the public on the dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, its causes, and consequences, and of services available.
- You will manage, and evaluate comprehensive prevention programing.
- You will manage assessment protocols and work with compliance team to ensure accountability and outcomes are achieved.
- You will report suspected and prior abuse / neglect to either Child Protective Services or Adult Protective Services when appropriate.
