CLACKAMAS COUNTY CHILDREN'S COMMISSION, INC. Education Supervisor
GENERAL OBJECTIVE : To manage and lead teaching staff for assigned classrooms; support service delivery at the center level; collaborate to integrate components in all areas; collaborate with managers and directors to assure agency compliance with Licensing Requirements and Federal and State Performance Standards.
Education Supervision
- Supervise Teachers for assigned classrooms.
- Manage and lead center daily operations and center staff.
- Recommend areas of improvement to staff and promote training that reflects the individual needs of staff members and / or the team as a whole.
- Complete all priority tasks accurately and on time, as outlined in the Monthly Task List.
- Perform monitoring tasks related to education, ERSEA and child supervision / safety (child attendance, education services record keeping, classroom monitoring checklists, active supervision / zoning activities, playground checklists, etc.)
- Monitor developmental screening completion and related data entry by expected timelines (ASQ-3, ASQ-SE).
- Monitor Teacher education home visit and parent conference completion and related data entry by expected timelines.
- Monitor Teacher family services home visit completion and related data entry by expected timelines.
- Monitor completion of data entered into TS GOLD® and ChildPlus by Teachers by expected timelines.
- Achieve and maintain CLASS® reliability and administer CLASS® observations as assigned (as training is available).
- Maintain TPOT / TPITOS® reliability and administer TPOT / TPITOS® observations (as training is available).
- Coach classroom staff in the implementation of the Creative Curriculum® and PBIS.
- Assist center staff with child abuse and neglect reports, including tracking, data entry, and routing of reports.
- Coordinate professional development and training plans of assigned staff and track progress towards educational Federal Performance Standards requirements.
- Incorporate reflective supervision practices in daily work with staff.
- Facilitate the resolution of conflicts between staff.
- Oversee the occurrence of case management meetings, consultations, and staff meetings. Participate in case management meetings as requested.
- Complete classroom observations using appropriate tools and assist staff in meeting the individual needs of the children.
- Ensure lesson plans contain required kindergarten readiness activities and required Federal Performance Standard components.
- Track and follow up on child attendance referrals made by teachers.
- Assure that assigned staff maintain required credentials (CBR, CDA, First Aid / CPR, Food Handler’s Card, etc.)
