Requirements

Description of Role : Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager, is responsible for assisting drivers with loading and unloading meals in the loading area, organizing packed meals for delivery, and assisting driver with meal deliveries as needed.

Required Experience :

Job Requirements :

1. Assembles and packages meals and complements for delivery to home delivered meal consumers.

2. Assist with transporting meals to and from storage areas.

3. Assists with clearing boxes, pallets, carts and other equipment from loading area.

4. In conjunction with housekeeping staff, clears boxes, crates, pallets, etc. from packing area as necessary.

5. Provides assistance as Utility / Loading Helper or backup for Utility / Loading Helper as assigned.

6. Rides with MDC driver and makes deliveries to consumers as needed.

7. Assists drivers to load vehicle with meals, complements and meal supplements according to Daily Loading Report for assigned route.

8. Assists driver to complete deliveries to all consumers on assigned route. Reports consumer problems / issues immediately to Dispatcher Clerk / Supervisor.

9. Communicates appropriately using two-way radio. Reports meal numbers as required at designated times. Reports any problems encountered during course of delivering meals to MDC immediately, according to established procedures.

10. Provides assistance as Utility / Loading Helper or backup for Utility / Loading Helper as assigned.

11. Assists in packing area as necessary.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.
