POSITION SUMMARY
The CDL Program Instructor is responsible for developing the skills of, and managing students to prepare them to achieve their CDL license. This will be done through a classroom setting and through hands on driving. Must be up-to-date with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE : Mon-Thurs 0700-1700

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Prepare and engage students in learning activities that facilitate achieving set goals of the program; focusing on Full Pre-trip Inspections, Basic Control Skills and Road Driving.
- Have a good working knowledge of all technologies used by the company and be able to train students on how to operate.
- Educate students on DOT regulations; how they pertain to CDL holders.
- Evaluate students' progress providing constructive feedback when necessary.
- Complete the necessary documentation regarding the status and progress of the students.
- Administer testing and provide follow up to the students.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom and in the field.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Consistently report to work as required and completes work during normal work hours.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
